The King of Pentacles card suggests that my power today lies in responsibility.

I surround myself with the conditions I wish to create and therefore have everything I need to be successful and independent according to my values and purpose.

I consider the welfare of others and am a master in production.

I am empowered by, and it is my honor to be, generous in offering or reproducing security, stability, and protection by my virile and reliable example.

My assets are perennial trust, respect, and validation that is well deserved.

Awesome Sauce!

Today was awesome.....

Too much to write now....I'm knackered!!

I have never felt so good about what I do....until today...to receive SO many compliments, words of appreciation and encouragement repeatedly in one day from the big big boss no less - well I just can't wipe the grin off my face...or fit my head through the door!

Apparently I would ABSOLUTELY and WITHOUT QUESTION be perfectly able to do the Almighty's job - and do it very well he thinks. I don't want it but gee it felt good to be told I COULD if I wanted to...

But must sleep now! (see I have even forgotten how to start a sentence I must be delirious - never start a sentence with 'but' - except this one time....he he!)

The Three of Chalices card suggests that my power today lies in celebration.

I am not alone.

I embrace the pleasure of the moment and share the beauty and joy of a common bond within my sisterhood.

I am empowered by inclusion and my gift is spontaneous rapture.

Almost There....

I'm 3/4 of the way there!

Order packed and delivered to one Dist.Tuesday - one Dist came and collected hers Tuesday as well - noice!
I managed to have it all done and the related computer work done straight away.

Lunch yesterday was just spot on.
I was so organised it was scary.
To be organised is a huge thing for us ADD'ers - and brings a huge feeling of accomplishment!

The roast beef was melt in your mouth stuff! I marinated it for two days before hand - and cooked slowly in an oven bag....
The table looked awesome, all set nicely - just enough seats for everyone - we drank sparkling apple juice from wine glasses!
Everyone was extremely full after their roast beef, roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, peas, dinner rolls and gravy - followed by cheescake and apple crumble with cream - and individual chocolate bags wrapped in cellophane.

And everything was cooked right on time!

No stress or panic, no rushing around - fantastic.

I even managed to have everyone sign AW's farewell card without him noticing.

My new team members came for lunch, and took their orders when they left - too easy!

Big A worked night shift Tuesday night, and got up just as everyone arrived - so he was able to join us for lunch - nice!

Z17 is at home again today - he's had a throat 'thing' and isn't feeling the best - he missed work Sunday, school Monday and Tuesday, went to school/work yesterday, then woke up this morning feeling blah again.
I'll see how he goes, you know how it is with doctors by the time you get an appointment they're better!

So today I have afternoon tea out at Westbury - farewell for CB and my last product order to give to Dist from Deloraine.

Tomorrow is the meeting at Campbelltown.
I thought it was going to be a casual 'meet the new State manager' thing.
But no - the Almighty sent an 'agenda' last night - *sigh* whatever.
I have to leave at 2.30pm - no later.
And guess what's on the agenda for exactly 2.30pm??

2.30pm - FAREWELL 'The Almighty'

Ha!
No thanks - I'm not doing faux well wishing etc - that will be my cue to exit.
I refuse to be a hypocrite!!!

So anyway, best go - still a few things to put away from yesterdays party.

This Will Test Me

This week will test me for sure.

I have a farewell lunch for 12 guests to cater for on Wednesday - my first order arriving Tuesday - a farewell afternoon tea/order to deliver Thursday - meeting an hours drive away Friday...

So:

Monday - purchase and prepare food that can be pre-prepared. Check orders. Stats report. House as clean and tidy as possible.

Tuesday - Stats emailed. Order packed (haven't done one of these alone for a few years) will take 1 - 1.5 hours - invoices prepared. Deliver one Distributor order (20 min drive away). More food prep. More house prep.

Wednesday - Roast dinner on and cooking early. Table prepared etc. Lunch for 12. Attending Distributors to take their orders on the day. The big clean up.

Thursday - Morning: catch up with any Dists unable to attend Wednesday. Pick up Z17 at 12.30pm from college. Return home pack car with remaining orders. Attend afternoon tea - give remaining Distributors their orders.

Friday - Attend meeting at Campbelltown from 1pm - 3pm (actually 2.30pm cos I will need to be back to collect Z17 from college). Night - crash!!!

Not to mention the usual to-ing and fro-ing of Z17 to work and College.....
The usual dinners to prepare for hard working husbands...
The usual supervision of Small Men that school at home...
The usual phone calls from my team.....
And whatever else pops up....

I must be strict with myself or it could be a disaster!!!

Routine, routine, routine....hate it.....need it....hate needing it......!! Ha ha!

She'll be right!

We Have Plans!!

We're back safe and sound.

Just a run through of the happenings in Melbourne....

We met with the Psychologist Wednesday - he seemed o.k. ran through everyhting from start to finish. He then spoke with Small Man alone for 15 minutes which threw me a bit - but I get it and it was fine (I'm just not used to it). His summary was that Small Man doesn't have any 'mental disease' that would go against the lap band - that he presents well but has some issues - and would benefit greatly by some weight loss.

Thursday we met with Dr Matt - an awesome Englishman who specialises specifically in weight management for children. What a lovely guy! We went through everything then with him, from start to finish, on the health aspect, the eating problems etc
During the appointment Prof John arrived. Wow! What a genuinely kind and understanding man, so sweet. He also had extra questions, after Dr Matt had filled him in on 'the story so far'.

Long story short the plan is:

Small Man is to start on Xenical (gee, didn't someone want him on that last year.....anyway!) which is a medication that stops your body absorbing any of the fat you eat - it passes straight through. He will still need to follow a low fat diet because it's not a magic wand - eating too much fat could really upset the belly.
He is also to go back to physio - YAY! he loved it there, and it was helping. Dr Matt is going to request it for us - I offered to take Small Man privately but we both agreed that familiar is better with the anxiety etc

These are to prepare him for surgery.

Prof John feels Small Man is a candidate - however we all feel that maybe, hopefully the Xenical will work and he won't need it.

So our aim is to get 'fit for surgery' - but the reality may be that he won't need it - his goal loss is 25kg -to a maximum of 35kgs - if he loses say 10 - 15 kgs on Xenical he won't need the band as his BMI wouldn't be high enough.....all good!
The only downside is that Dr Matt has to apply for it - and it could take 6-8 weeks to get approval.
We also have to get further blood tests done - and anything else he may have decided after putting it all together.

We then saw the head dietitian at RCH.
What a nice lady!
Small Man was a bit grumpy by the time we saw her, but she was so great she even had him talking by the end and asking questions.
She congratulated me on the job I am doing with the food he currently eats, as I explained how I cook and select his food to keep it as low cal, GI & fat as possible with what he will actually eat.
She will be an email away with help with his diet for Xenical.

The hospital is ginourmous!
We had a job to find our way to everywhere - at least next time it will be easier.

We did some walking while we were there - oh my!!!
All around Chadstone Shopping Centre Tuesday, City DFO Thursday afternoon, then the Vic Market Friday. Scored a few good bits for Small Man - spoilt him just a little bit - but he deserved it! He ended up with a new hat, trousers (found a pair - at Target of all places couldve bought them here - oh well!), a long sleeved top, a t-shirt, a necklace, a gun (toy machine gun), a new watch, undies (how exciting!).
Z17 got a trendy zip up hoodie from the Industrie store, an awesome looking stainless steel ring, a 'shock pen' (trick pen gives u an electric shock) and a 'shock lighter' (same thing) - he's into that stuff! I could have bought clothes galore for Z17 - he has the shape for the current fashion, but I'm always conscious when Small Man is with me - he'd love to be able to wear that stuff - one day!
Big A got a sexy black Zippo lighter (he's hard to buy for!).
Me - two pairs of sunnies for $5 each (just what you need in Winter - haw haw!) and a long sleeve top - that's all I found really - was after some boots - no luck - they make them for people with barbie doll legs I think - I wanted them with enough calf room to fit jeans in - FAIL!
Small Man coped o.k. with all of the walking. I was conscious to keep the drinks up, and to rest him often, and not to let him go for long without eating something. He managed to find the 'husband chair' in most shops which was good!

So that's it.
I'm pleased with the outcome.
Small Man was hoping for different news I think, but I think he's better about it now.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes,
I haven't had internet access all week so found them all last night.

Craziness

I'm so pleased this week is now behind me!

Dramas, stress, abusive phone calls (not directed at me!) and total chaos.

To cut a long boring story short - the transfer of my new people has not gone smoothly, leaving them without this weeks order - to be re-ordered, and delivered HERE to ME the week after next - along with their usual order. So I'll have several thousand dollars worth of stock to pack - the day before I am hosting a farewell Christmas in July lunch for AW - HERE.

We had some unhappy people.
One of them their current manager CB.
I just happened to be on the phone with her when the Almighty rang her on her mobile - CB abused the hell out of her - it was hilarious!!! I heard the whole thing!!
At one point the Almightly tried to blame ME (of course) - CB soon put her straight on THAT little detail.
She spoke to her exactly how I want to speak to her sometimes - and how I feel on the inside but exercise extreme control not to.
CB then went on to ring and abuse the Big Big Boss in Sydney - and pointed out a few of the 'things' that have happened here under the Almighty's reign of terror - ha ha ha!!!

So basically I'm mentally exhausted.
But they all now how their new i.d. numbers with me,
their orders are in....and all will be fine.....just got to get through the next two weeks....

My poor car went for a service - I am ashamed to say it's the first one it's had in three years - no money, no opportunity with Big A on day shift and living out here.
I received my reward for this - a $650 bill....
All necessary.
Not all fixed though, the brakes need 'doing' within the next few weeks.....
Our mechanic is awesome and a very honest man.
He thought best to stop there as he realised the bill was adding up and up.
*sigh*

Small Man is going in leaps and bounds Distance Ed wise.
He has completed his first few lessons, it amazing! A virtual classroom - who knew!
He has also done around 8 assignments his first two: A & B+ - second two B+ & A scores - these were maths, english lit. health and wellbeing.
He is working his way through his IT assignments which he is finding very easy, he completed three or four of these today in under 20 mins.

He seems a bit happier in himself, health wise no change. He gave me a fright tonight - he was playing with George - he bent down to put George on the floor - when he came back up he suddenly grabbed his head and was obviously in pain - he wouldn't speak for ages - said his head felt 'funny'. He went to bed and slept for a few hours after that. I hate it when things like that happen.

Trying to prepare for next week - mentally at least.
Did the 'inventory' of clothing for Small Man - who is a big little man, and tall and difficult to buy clothes for - trousers are the biggest issue - and tops are usually too short.....may need to have a look in Melbourne I think...

Best go and get another milo into me before I drop like a tonn of bricks....

Night All,

5 Minutes & A Confession.....

O.k. I find myself with 5 minutes up my sleeve - gee I'm lucky eh!

Sort of on track - still lots to do and a trip to Melbourne next week.....

Wisdom tooth is pretty much all the way through - finally.
Still managed a cracking migraine yesterday - not great when you are trying to stay on track and just can't think - at all....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a confession to make - no laughing!!!
I don't know how to put links to other blogs in my blog - I know I'm a dumbarse!! I suppose I haven't really tried TOO hard - it just goes into the 'too hard' basket.....sorry about that.....
This has kinda made me go into avoidance mode when it comes to me-me's and stuff.......
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Oh well, back to the grindstone,
Take Care,
