Back To Reality

Last night was such a high!

It's been so hard not to share it with my team - but I would like them to be surprised when they receive the newsletter :)

No-one from our region has received this award for two years or more.......

Anyway - Small Man took some photos of me today - oh dear - I look like a sumo wrestling whale with mad cow disease.

Oh dear.

Then I weighed myself tonight - I can't even write the amount I weigh here I'm too ashamed.

Today I have eaten a total of 1 meal replacement shake and half a bowl of casserole - mostly veggies with a little beef - no spuds.

I have been watching my heart rate just at random times once or twice per day for the last week - my heart rate has been over 140 beats per minute at least once every day - two or three times it's reached 150.

What on earth is going on?

I'm a bit hesitant to get on the treadmill - with my resting heart rate this high already.

These are the two photos I settled on - they can choose which one they like best - I had equal votes for both here:

Ah on the phone again - at least I'm consistent.
I may get it superglued to my ear for convenience - it's only rung about 50 times today - nbd! He he!
No really, all of the photos people send in for this are of them 'doing' something - talking is doing! A big part of my job is coaching over the phone.

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦
I have my first therapy appointment for Small Man on Saturday.

He seems keen to go to these - which helps a lot.

Our first appointment is to get his complete history - I told him the therapist said he doesn't have to come - but he wants to - which pleases me greatly :)

He hasn't had the best few weeks - last week he missed some school because he was feeling quite run down (more so than usual).
He picked up a little bit and is back downhill again today - sore throat etc.
I thought he may have a touch of the virus I had last week, I'll keep an eye on him and see how he is.

I guess it must seem as if things have come to a standstill for him at the moment - we are between plans for him.

He has started back on the Xenical of his own decision - I will need to see the Paed for further prescriptions again soon - he has had a break from it for over a month now but doesn't have too many left.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I am missing my eldest son at the moment.

He has been either sleeping or at school or work - actually I have seen him only very briefly today and the same yesterday.

No work tomorrow night or Thursday night though - not having the time with him driving to and from work or to and from college means less chance for one on one time and to hear all about the work gossip, what happened at college etc

He won't be home until after 11pm again tonight - so I'll wait up for him.

♥♥♥Love to you all ♥♥♥

SQUEEEEE! Much Excitement!!!

I received a call from my manager late this afternoon,

to tell me our company's head office team want ME for the 'Hero Of The Month' award - the email said.....

"We want to make Gina our Hero Of The Month for her brilliant effort in raising money for the bushfire appeal for ..... (our lady affected by the bushfires in Vic.). Apart from sales, Gina has shown compassion and empathy"

This means I will have a full profile with questions I have answered, along with my photo printed in our national newsletter (oooh...colour and glossy...)

I was speechless!

It's an absolute honour to be nominated for this - let alone by the people that decide who receives the award.....

☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

I will have to try and not tell my team - so it's a surprise......oh and find a photo...*ahem*......that's not ten years old.....

Yay!

I have no idea what has happened with the sizing of this post........ha ha!

This is a beauty!

http://whywomenhatemen.blogspot.com/

This is an absolute crack up - it's a blog written by a male - he writes hilarious comments about actual personal ads that have been posted online by guys that haven't got a clue !
You should read some of these ads!!!!
And his responses are priceless!

"Actual internet personal ads posted on public dating boards by men who have absolutely no clue how to attract a woman. With immature, inappropriate commentary that is completely satirical in nature"

It's a bit on the cheeky side - much adult content - I'm just sayin' !

P.S. On yesterday

I just wanted to add my Mum is a loving grandma to my boys (when she sees them).

I think they were just so busy 'teaching us a lesson' when the boys were younger (we got the BIG statement from SF when we were having Z17 that it was us having the baby, not him and Mum and blah blah - purely because of our ages when he was born).
That's fine, we can proudly say we have done it ALL on our own.

The boys are none the wiser to all of this, I have told Big A how I feel ~ and discussed with my lifelong friend last night.
She remembers quite clearly that it was like pulling teeth for them to mind the boys.

Z17 has stayed the night at mums house approx 7 - 8 times in 18 years - under extreme circumstances (when my father died, when Small Man was born etc).
Small Man has probably only stayed 4-5 nights at the most and he's 14.

My brothers little girl has stayed 4 times in the last 6 months........

My argument is that my brother only has his daughter for one night, every second weekend - that's it - so unless he had a special occasion why does he need Mum to look after her?

I remember nights when the boys were little - that we have been around to their house for a family dinner, and one or both boys have fallen asleep in the spare bed - and I've had to wake them up and drag them out into the cold..........

Anyway - I won't be saying anything - there is no point now.
Mum has been over twice to visit since she retired (by herself, during the day) and she took Small Man out for lunch on one of the days. He also went to their shack for two nights a few months ago.
For Z17 it's a little too late now.....................................

I think my actual frustration with this is the power my SF has over my Mum....and why won't she stand up for herself.
I will never understand what she sees in him.
It is also a time where I miss my Dad so, so much.

Saturday.......

So I was up EARLY on a SATURDAY......that never happens.

Why?

Because this stupid pain in my jaw won't go away and it's really outworn it's welcome now.

I suppose I'll have to trudge back to my GP - I can't be awake half the night in pain and then tired the next day because of it........

I have family visiting from interstate with their 3 children, they are doing the visiting rounds today, going to Mums first.
I suggested to Mum that she ask them to leave my visit until next week - just in case - I wouldn not want to be responsible for spreading this virus around - it's been awful.

While talking to Mum I find that she has my niece for the whole day, and for the night tonight.

I asked "Oh o.k. what's P.R. (my brother) doing??" - Mum "Oh I don't know darling I didn't get time to ask him".

I'm feeling a little disappointed to be honest - not jealous - disappointed for my boys - it was a HUGE deal for them to ever go and stay with Mum and SF - I could probably count the overnight stays on one hand (and even then it had to be an emergency or booked in weeks in advance) - and they will be 18 and 15 this year.

My brothers little girl has just turned 5 - and has stayed at Mums half a dozen times already. Mum even bought a special blanket for when she goes and stays there......

Maybe I sound ungrateful or whingey or something but it hurts - it's not my brothers fault.
Their loss though as my boys are pretty much to the age where they wouldn't want to go and stay with them.
I am of the opinion that if you can't do it for all of the children - don't do it for any of them.

Hmmm.....

So on that note I will be off,

A few things I didn't need, and one or two that I did

I definitely DIDN'T need the ad in the paper this week - the phone only rang twice Saturday when I was all well and able to answer the phone......
Yesterday and today it's rung about 30 - 40 times.
The annoying part is that one of the numbers rings continually two or three times - and doesn't leave a message - then rings back an hour or so later - and does it all again - it's not hard.

Maybe people don't like talking to answering machines - harden the .... up people - if you REALLY want a job - leave a bloody message.
I have passed the callers number(s) over to PB - he has returned the call(s) and dealt with it.
I'm not up to talking at the moment I'm half off me rocker on codeine, my jaw is so sore at times it feels like I've broken it - weirdest virus I've ever come across.

The second thing I didn't need.
O.K.
Sunday night Big A had to work back - so worked 18 hours - they wouldn't let him drive home (it's around 60km) so sent him home in a taxi ($140!!) - that was fine I agreed with that I didn't want him driving and it was 1am - and I was coming down with this virus - not good driving material.
Anyhoo he decided to leave his car at work - they work 24 hours a day and the car is in well lit car park with a security guard in an office on the gate.

Sounds o.k. you would think?

Someone decided they
needed to break into his car - via the back window - they removed the seal and tried to jimmy the window out - smashing the glass to bits (but it's still in the window - held in by the tint maybe).
So they didn't get into the car in the end....

Big A's mate drove the car home for him today (they work in the same place, he lives next door)- so that Big A would have it for work tomorrow etc
When he dropped the keys in he asked Big A 'How long has your back window been smashed mate?'
First he knew about it of course - and his mate didn't realise it was damaged while it was parked there....
So on it goes from there - calls to our insurance - calls to work - calls to police.
The police have been around, done the report and so on.

So he's now not working tomorrow so that he can sort this out.
He's mighty pissed I can tell you.
It's going to cost us $350 (the excess on our insurance).
Which isn't really the point - it's the inconvenience.
So he's probably going to need to take my car to work Thursday - I didn't need that either.

BUT the man will be home tomorrow - and he's been really helpful today doing my errands and picking up groceries, then cooking tea.
He did get me to cut his hair this morning though - could've done without that I wasn't feeling too patient.

Sleep - I have had lots today - I really did need that - I have done a little, slept a lot, done a little bit more.
Still feeling very average but you get that.
'Strong pain' pills - definitely needed them - I got the Amcal version of nurofen plus (because I got the pushy chemist lady that was winding up to give me the big spiel on getting them and I didn't want to listen so just said 'yeah whateva' cos I SO needed to get home at that point).

Small Man has shown me how to do the hearts - but on the desktop which mad game playing husbands are currently hogging using for bangity bang bang games serious biz.
So I can't show you - cos I don't know how to do it on the laptop...yet :)

In a nutshell...

Thanks everyone for your kind comments :)

I've been to the doc and have a virus ~ along with a fever, throat infection, glands up, red ear....etc

I'm glad it wasn't my tooth - that would've been fun - getting a wisdom tooth out.....

My CT was o.k. so thankfully I can rule out ovarian cysts etc - although he did say if I've had ne and it had ruptured a while ago it wouldn't show up.

So he packed me off with 5 different prescriptions ~ anti-biotics for the throat, repeats on everyhting else....

I got some good pain killers with plenty of codeine in em.

I may just go and lie down now.......

Oh for ....'s sake!

You're welcome to fill in the '....'s' with whatever you like.

Now I've got a bloody toothache - a wisdom tooth - my jaw absolutely CANES.

I have an idea - why don't they just put me in - knock me out for a few days - AND FIX THE BLOODY LOT.

Feeling extremely sorry for myself today - no go in me at all - caught sleeping on the couch this arvo by Mum and SF - oh well ya get that.
I need a sign on my door - 'drop in and take me as you find me'.
Today that would be unshowered, in my old camo pants and a just barely tidy house (if you squint your eyes and don't focus on one spot for too long).

Bah!

I don't know if I want to just lie on the couch and sulk.....
or get stuck in, ignore the tooth and get some things done - to make me feel better......

Saturday - itis!

Phew....

Glad it's Saturday

Yesterday was a total write off.
I slept for several hours and felt really yuk - headache, jittery, tired, just blah.
I didn't react to the contrast last time I had it (ten years ago) but this time I seem to have.

Usually my Saturdays are like most peoples Sundays.....a bit of a sleep in....pottering around....getting organised for the week ahead.....

Not today though - we have an ad in the paper with my number (only one call so far - rather than 50 like last time!).
One of my ladies called in yesterday (I didn't know she was coming)
I was in bed!
Small Man answered the door...
I felt terrible!
She is a new lady too - not one of my old ducks (and I say that with the greatest affection!)
She is coming back today - she didn't mind at all when I called her last night and told me not to apologise.
I can see she is going to fit in really well, I really like her.

I made the executive decision to keep Z17 at home yesterday, and to have the night off work last night.
It seems it was the right thing to do, as he slept until 1pm yesterday, and was then back in bed at 6.30pm until 8.30pm - and is still asleep now.
He is supposed to work 5pm - midnight tonight - if I don't think he's up to it he's not going - simple as that - they can manage without him I'm sure - he has only missed 3 shifts due to illness in 18 months.
If he isn't any better I'll take him in to the doc Monday.

I'm going to my GP Monday anyway- I asked for a copy of my CT results to be sent to him - Very Nice Professor asked me to come back in 6 weeks - and I'm about to run out of the prescription he gave me (I didn't think to ask) so I'd like to discuss it with my GP and see if he thinks I should keep on it or whatever.
I think it has made a bit of a difference to my fatigue - nothing over the top but a bit is better than nought!

Thinking about the house clearing/cleansing advice so kindly given for my friend.
She has had a frantic week packing - and then had an ultrasound Wednesday that showed a fibroid on her left ovary - she'd been having pain in a similar area but opposite side to me.
I sent her everyones advice - but haven't had a chance to talk to her and find out how she went.
They were moving into the new house yesterday.

Maybe I need to do one here?
I wonder sometimes 'is it something in this house?' - but then my stuff did start before we moved here, and Small Man was fine until the glandular fever - but still maybe I need to clear the house of the old energies?

Hmmm.......

All over and done with.

The contrast has made me feel pretty crappy this time.

While it was swirling through me doing it's thing my heart started tripping out - just as it does before it goes totally spazzo.....it flutters about then pauses then kicks in at at least twice the speed it's meant to maybe faster who knows.
Thankfully it didn't go totally spazzo on me today and bugger up the scan (I'd have to get up, flip over and hold my breath - AS YOU DO!)

Thank goodness I don't have much to do today.

I couldn't get in to medicare so it'll have to wait until Monday - what's another $570 on the visa right?? Ahem....
I'll get a fair bit back - it will be $160 out of pocket.
Good job I thought ahead and registered for the medicare safety net before all these appointments.
My first cardiologist appointment will be over $200
Oh well, ya get that......

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes for me today,
I've been home for a few hours and no phone call so I'm going to take that to mean it's all FINE

Not raining, pouring....

...and it's not the weather!

Everything seems to happen all at once these days.

Summary of today:

6.40am: I'm up, I'm up o.k.! And, for the first time in many years I have woken up HUNGRY - what's going on there? (I'm rarely hungry - let alone in the morning).

8am: Sick 17 year old unable to go to work experience (headache, clammy, pale, weak in the legs, feeling stiff and horrible)

8.30am: Ring and let work exp place know (lucky, I know a guy that works there and he happened to answer - I HATE ringing up for things like this...I'm sure they don't believe you or something...but for Z17...anything!)

9am: Phone call from 'the boss' (my boss) - just wanted to ask me some questions :)

9.30am: Explain Z17 situation to Big A who just woke up

9.45am: Get in the shower and get dressed - time is running short

10am: Send and reply to 3 text messages (work). Email accounts dept

10.20am: Pack car with boxes full of stuff and go delivering

10.40am - 1.15pm: Deliver goods to 4 lovely ladies in 4 different suburbs

11.30am: message from Big A to say he will be working day shift Fri/Sat/Sun instead of night shift.....I was kinda thinking he might come with me in the morning for the CT...oh well I'm sure I can manage :)

1.30pm: Supermarket for hydrating substances for sick 17 year olds

1.50pm: Home finally - can check on Z17 - he and Small Man are both asleep!

2:pm Big A arrives home from doing a wiring job for my brother, followed by lunch and the purchase of some sort of 'must have' amp thingy for the t.v. - it's 9.50pm and he's still fiddling with it!

2.30pm: Open mail only to receive my cardiologist appointment date - 22nd April. A few forms to fill out and return before appt. And my belly button fixer upper arrived too....just in time! The bit on the end is actually clear...not black like the photo....which I prefer....

3pm: Crash for an hour....actually an hour and a half....

4.45pm: Phone call from Radiology to make sure I am coming for appt tomorrow

5pm: Call from therapist at therapy clinic to say she has received our referral for Small Man - she had some questions and is now 30% filled in on the situation - she sounds lovely.
I have my first appointment with her on the 4th April - just for her to get a detailed history - then Small Man will go the following week and meet her.
She feels it is a Sensory Processing Disorder causing his eating problems.
And I was pleased to hear YES they have worked with people with selective eating disorder before....relief.....

6pm: Still not awake properly.....food? cooking? ME? Ah shite!!! Big A gets online and orders pizza - I go and pick it up - boys come for a drive to help me.
They're gorgeous, and would do LOTS to get pizza - ha ha!
Get pizza home and I'm not hungry. Oh well Big A can take it for lunch tomorrow.

So I am pleased to have these appointments booked in and organised.

After much packing of shite I have successfully removed 'mah precioussss' BB ring and replaced with teeny wee plastic thingo all ready for tomorrow - (if English isn't your first language this sentence would be near impossible to decipher, sorry!)

And that's it.
Aside from copious amounts of moisturiser on the back of my hands ready for their contrast dye thingy injection tomorrow - my hands are a bit dry at the moment and it tends to CANE much worse with dry skin.....

What the devil?

...is this you may ask?

It's a 'belly button piercing retainer'

Indeed!!

I have ordered one of these 100% plastic devices.

I have my CT scan Friday.

I suddenly wondered whether I may have to remove my current navel ring for the CT scan.
I called and asked...and yes no metal (in case it obstructs the view)....but plastic is fine.

This should be interesting - the one I have in now took ages to put in - it's a ring with a ball thingy that I think is meant to be put in at a piercing place....not with pliers....ummm oh well!
That's o.k. - it's the getting it OUT thing - I dunno how that'll go - it's been in for years now - and whether I can get it back in again - or go with one of the banana bar jobs that I have.

God my life is exciting isn't it.

Ha ha ha!!!!

I have been and organised Small Man's care plan with the doctor, for psychologists and an exercise program with a guy that works 'mobile' so I'm not sure if he'll come to us, or to the doc's surgery.
If the exercise program goes o.k. I will look at the gym - either as follow up or as well as....depending on how it goes.
We had a visit from SM's teachers this week.
It's clear they love SM - they REALLY want him to go to the residential camp in April.
I think he will.
It's in Hobart - for five days.
It is more classroom type based that bushwalking based this time :)

Not a lot else to report.

Lots of changes coming up with work, one leaving, one coming on board....area going here there and everywhere.......bah!
I don't feel stressed.
The one advantage to doing the same job for 10 years (10 years in this position, 11 years with the company) is that you can do autopilot very easily.

Ah well that's about it from me,

G

Help!!?? Calling all witches!

My friend has bought a new house. Not the one in the photo I should add!

She is a seriously freaking out, a little concerned about the energy in the house - the owner prior to this one was diagnosed with cancer and died, the current owners wife also died - and their son became seriously ill (he recovered) while living there.

I can certainly understand her fears - but she loves the house so....

She would like to know if there is something she can do by way of a cleansing ritual or similar.

Any ideas gratefully received,

G

Difficult

Feeling so much sympathy for my NM's (natural mother) family at the moment.

NM's sisters 19 year old son was killed in an accident on a fishing boat at Dover here in Tasmania - where my NM grew up.

I just read the story - crushed to death.

She messaged me last night to let me know.

It's not often I find it hard to know what to do - but I have no idea what to do.

It's not the same as my 'family'.
I can't/won't cross the invisible line that I believe is there - between the family I have always known, and the family I barely know.

Maybe I feel I have no right to 'intrude'.

I am just feeling the pain and anguish, knowing how I would be if it were one of my sons.
My heart goes out to them.

I'm torn between wanting to go down and be there for NM - even if just to meet her when she gets off the plane.....do I send flowers? A card?
They barely know me.

Either way I will be sending them love and strength.

Rest in peace my cousin.
One day we will meet.

The next step

I had my specialist appointment late yesterday afternoon.

The next step is a CT scan of my gut - I don't reckon they'll be able to miss it somehow!
Checking for ovarian cysts and whatnot.

He has also writing a referral for me to go to a cardiologist.
I explained my experience with the beta blockers ~ he thinks we will give those a miss!
My resting heart rate was 120 beats per minute when I was there yesterday.
He said he won't do any endoscopy tests with my heart rate that high.
So that's on the backburner for now.
He said it's no wonder I'm friggin fatigued - it's like walking uphill all the time.
So....

I know what I should/have to/will be asked to do.

What is my one vice?

Cigarettes.

My head wants to quit from a 'I don't want to do this to my kids' point of view,
but the last time I quit I just woke up one day and thought 'Nope, don't want to do that any more' and gave it away....just like that - and I'd been smoking since I was 16.
I managed to give up for over two years.
This time though I don't have that urge, that feeling of 'I want to quit'.

I will have to strap on a heap of patches, take that Champix stuff washed down with that other gear that makes you want to quit (Zyban?).

Shit.

I explained to the professor I saw yesterday how I don't feel like my heart is going too fast, because it's what I'm used to.
I have had this arrhythmia since I was a kid.
I also haven't had it checked for years.
The last cardiologist I saw was a miserable old prick who told me I was a stressed out mother and to go home and relax.
Relax?
I should've just punched his lights out there and then.
I was supposed to get a halter monitor and do a tilt table test to check it all out properly, but no old misery guts was too busy trying to impress the medical student he had there with him.
What a friggen hero.

I'm really pleased this Prof I have seen is willing to help me out with this stuff.
I told him I'd been shafted and humiliated that many times by doctors that I don't go unless it's something pretty obvious - something you can SEE.
And they wonder why people suffer in silence!!!

Rant over.

So I'll make the CT appointment - and the cardiologist office will contact me with an appointment time.

I have just finished writing out a gazillion Medicare claim forms, paying school fees, sorting out bills, getting cheques ready to bank and working out who need what prescription picked up this week and so on.....it feels better though to be organised.

Yay! And a photo now too.....make that two photos!

Z17 passed his driving test today - yay! - he now has his licence!!

He was so excited and overwhelmed when he realised the guy had circled 'YES' (yes, you've passed) he was shaking!

In other news yesterdays fund-raiser was a success - we raised over $300 - it will be looking like closer to $400 by the end of the week.
Not bad considering most of the people donating only have this job as their income and it's commission paid.

I'm suitably exhausted after all of this I have to say.

Back to the specialist today and see what he reckons......

One home, one gone.....

Just as I predicted.

Small Man was home by 11.30am today - grotty, unshowered (the water was untreated and 'yellow' I'm told - no good for showering), hungry and chipper.

He had walked a 7.2km bushwalk on the first day, a 5km walk on the second day, and on the third day........nah!
He stayed behind and uploaded photos from the digital cameras onto the laptops and edited them etc etc

They had rain pretty much the whole time.

His clothes were ALL WET or at least damp - the whole lot of them.

He enjoyed himself.

The kids he was in a cabin with sounded like fun.

He was in bed by 1pm

He slept until 5pm

He is in bed again now.

George (that's his paw in the photo above) has spent the last few days sulking and looking for Small Man.
He was as happy as a pig in shite this afternoon :)
He is asleep on Small Man's bed now......

In the mean time Big A has packed up his gear and headed down the coast fishing for ten days.

He has taken my laptop - I reckon I can survive without it - somehow!

I am used to him going away fishing at this time of year.

I have always been quite independent.

After years of shift work it works out that way I guess.

My father taught me from a young age how to chop wood, start lawn mowers/mow lawns, drive boats, light fires......you name it.
Not that I'm planning on driving any boats in the next ten days mind you!!

I will however be cooking and cleaning for the next two days in preparation for Monday and our fund raiser.

Oh and lets not forget washing......I have done two full loads of SM's wet gear, and have another two to go........at least.......

I hope everyone has a good weekend,

Bye Baby!

Small Man has gone to camp.

Til Friday!

The next few days are going to feel quite different - he has been at home pretty much 24/7 for the last 3 years - actually it's almost 3 years to the day that he first came down with glandular fever......and hasn't recovered.
It took me nearly 12 months to adjust to him being at home.
It was just so different.
It has been such a long journey for both of us.
I have spent most of my time defending him, and trying to get answers or a solution to this.
Looking at the photo of him above - he was feeling crappy when he took this - he doesn't have to tell me I can tell from looking at it.

He has only been away for a night or two since in the last few years - and this is his first ever school camp!

Very exciting!

It will be great for him to escape his routine for a few days - he will pay for it on the weekend and I'm prepared for that (I offered to put his sandwiches in the blender and feed it to him through a funnel over the weekend - he cracked up !!) - but we have learnt that the fatigue will still be there so he may as well have some fun when he can.

After I met his teacher in town and saw him off I went to the op shop for a squizz - I haven't been in a while.
I found FOUR pairs of pyjama pants - very cute - in my size (XXXXXXXXL - ha ha ha!).
3 pair are Peter Alexander - 1 pair is Country Road - (Ooooh la-dee-dah I'll be posh in them eh!!) - I even found a matching Peter Alexander singlet top to make one set.
Usually I wear Big A's chesty bond singlets he gets from work - they are a big size so they're good and long.

There is much to do here in preparation for the fundraiser Monday. MUCH to do......heaps actually......it shall be done though.

Feeling a little bit better today - back to the specialist next Tuesday - so we'll see.

Z17 goes for his licence again next Tuesday too........he has been driving a lot in the last few weeks - especially into and through the city - in heavy traffic - and I'm confident he's ready this time (the only thing he'll probably forget is to get a parking ticket...and it may take a few fines to jog his memory).

I better go and feed the men,

p.s. No, that's not a real tattoo on the back of his hand - although he wishes it was - he has photo shopped it into almost every photo of himself ~ *boys!!!*

Hmmm....

Sorry.

I am here - I just haven't been 'here' this week.

I popped into a few blogs randomly through the week but I'm having trouble finding the right words to comment properly.

Not sure why - I think the new medication has a bit to do with it.

It's been one of my epic weeks as well.

So much co-ordinating of times, dropping people off and picking them up from college, work, Launceston Cup (then later from the pub), half a side of beef to sort out (with drunk people unable to help), late nights, early mornings......

....and beta blockers that reduced my heart rate by 33 beats per minute - basically my body was NOT HAPPY JAN.
I took one, and one only, and won't take it again.

I had a feeling one of the two new meds wasn't going to suit - so I spaced starting them over a week otherwise I'd have no idea which one didn't suit me.

The other one I am taking for pain seems o.k. - I took my own advice and eased myself onto it over a few days - no real side effects from it which is good.

I'm just not feeling like myself at the moment though.

This week is going to be another busy one - please forgive me if I miss an important post (or if I have already done so in the last week ).
Small Man is off to camp Tuesday, and I need to prepare for the fund raising afternoon tea I am having next Monday.
We will be without power for 8 hours Thursday so I won't be able to do any cooking, washing, vacuming (oh the horror - ha ha ha!).......may have to settle for some dusting.
Gee it'll be quiet I better get some batteries for a radio or something....
We have borrowed a generator for our freezer - which is now full of beef, and a side of lamb, and some more striped trumpeter courtesy of the last fishing trip.

I was without the internet for a whole day Monday or Tuesday (can't remember which now)....it occured to me that I have been spending too much time on here........procrastinating...while the work piles up around me......tsk.

Love to you all
