Back To Reality

Last night was such a high!

It's been so hard not to share it with my team - but I would like them to be surprised when they receive the newsletter :)

No-one from our region has received this award for two years or more.......

Anyway - Small Man took some photos of me today - oh dear - I look like a sumo wrestling whale with mad cow disease.

Oh dear.

Then I weighed myself tonight - I can't even write the amount I weigh here I'm too ashamed.

Today I have eaten a total of 1 meal replacement shake and half a bowl of casserole - mostly veggies with a little beef - no spuds.

I have been watching my heart rate just at random times once or twice per day for the last week - my heart rate has been over 140 beats per minute at least once every day - two or three times it's reached 150.

What on earth is going on?

I'm a bit hesitant to get on the treadmill - with my resting heart rate this high already.

These are the two photos I settled on - they can choose which one they like best - I had equal votes for both here:

Ah on the phone again - at least I'm consistent.
I may get it superglued to my ear for convenience - it's only rung about 50 times today - nbd! He he!
No really, all of the photos people send in for this are of them 'doing' something - talking is doing! A big part of my job is coaching over the phone.

I have my first therapy appointment for Small Man on Saturday.

He seems keen to go to these - which helps a lot.

Our first appointment is to get his complete history - I told him the therapist said he doesn't have to come - but he wants to - which pleases me greatly :)

He hasn't had the best few weeks - last week he missed some school because he was feeling quite run down (more so than usual).
He picked up a little bit and is back downhill again today - sore throat etc.
I thought he may have a touch of the virus I had last week, I'll keep an eye on him and see how he is.

I guess it must seem as if things have come to a standstill for him at the moment - we are between plans for him.

He has started back on the Xenical of his own decision - I will need to see the Paed for further prescriptions again soon - he has had a break from it for over a month now but doesn't have too many left.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I am missing my eldest son at the moment.

He has been either sleeping or at school or work - actually I have seen him only very briefly today and the same yesterday.

No work tomorrow night or Thursday night though - not having the time with him driving to and from work or to and from college means less chance for one on one time and to hear all about the work gossip, what happened at college etc

He won't be home until after 11pm again tonight - so I'll wait up for him.

♥♥♥Love to you all ♥♥♥

Natalie ~ Aww thank you Maam - I think the second one is more 'me' actually - I don't go for the big grin that often but it's a more positive look for the occasion I guess!

I can't see any sumo whales or mad cows in these photos, just a lovely-looking woman ;0) And I like the 2nd one a bit more, too.

Independent children are good... yet, strangely not...

Cyndy ~ I cropped most of them out - he he!
I know, empty nest empty nest.....and it hasn't even happened yet - maybe this is the preparation.....

If you are a sumo whale, then I am a whole pod of them. Stop being so hard on yourself girl and look at how beautiful you are!!!

Look at you ! You are beautiful. I like em both but maybe the second is better for this type of thing?

I would be seeking advice before hitting the treadmill with that heart rate.

I relate to missing children :)

Oh you are gorgeous!!

I like the first one :)

It's great that small man wants to go to the appt. Can't be easy for him, so that's great.

Yep, the second one is the better with your face front-on, very pretty :)

Jen ~ I'm just not feeling it at the moment....but thank you :)
I think I'm extra sensitive about my weight - especially for these photos - because the 'Almighty' (ex manager) used to call me a 'fat lazy cow' behind my back - she will see the newsletter (and HATE the whole thing) so I guess I had that in my mind. I know it's only her opinion (beacuse she despised me so much) and I need build a bridge and let it go, but words can cut pretty deep, especially with everything else she did to me over the years.

Michelle ~ Thank you :) I think I'll try some light walking just not on the treadmill and see how it goes, not long until I see the cardiologist now.

Tania ~ Thank you - everyone seems to have a different opinion on the two photos which is interesting, and good :) I was quite surprised that he is willing to go, facing your fears is so difficult, especially at 14 - I think that he's keen is half the battle :)

Jayne ~ I was thinking cheeky thoughts in the second one (no, not that sort of cheeky) - just imagining what a certain ex manager is going to think when she sees my head in the newsletter and the write up that goes with it.... :)

Warriorwitch ~ Aww thank you :) 21 year old - awesome - hee hee! Maybe the ciggies haven't caught up with me yet after all....on the outside at least :)
And thank you again - I have been rendered speechless again in such a short time, and in a positive way :)

I like the smile in the top one... but like the relaxed look in the second...
Great that Smallman is keen on the therapy! It will go so much better for him that way!

Myst_72 said...

Vevay ~ Thank you :) Yes, I'm thinking it should be for Small Man - he has become very articulate in explaining how he feels about things which is a bonus too.
The one thing he doesn't like are 'trick' questions - he susses them out immediately, so I will need to let his therapist know to be direct with her questions :)

You look Mah-vel-ous. Really. But don't you DARE get on a treadmill until you have sought the advice of your Doctor. Please? Do it right?

Lou ~ Why thank you my buff gym going friend :) I won't, I mean I will - see the doc first - just in case :)

Gina you are looking more gorgeous as you get older. Cool pics....

Congratulations!!!!
You deserve your company's recognition and that old saying 'eat shit and die' comes to mind when thinking of your creep of an ex boss. 'Good Girl" lol Do you get a company car with this award???????

Luv,
Dell.

Dell ~ Thank you! :) Company car...I can dream! I don't think anyone gets one of those actually, may be a good thing :)
Yes she is going to shit bricks when she sees it - quite a few slogans to print on a t-shirt and wear in the photo came to mind actually - ha ha ha!

I could slap a wig on my left leg and it still wouldn't look as slim as you do.
