One home, one gone.....

Just as I predicted.

Small Man was home by 11.30am today - grotty, unshowered (the water was untreated and 'yellow' I'm told - no good for showering), hungry and chipper.

He had walked a 7.2km bushwalk on the first day, a 5km walk on the second day, and on the third day........nah!
He stayed behind and uploaded photos from the digital cameras onto the laptops and edited them etc etc

They had rain pretty much the whole time.

His clothes were ALL WET or at least damp - the whole lot of them.

He enjoyed himself.

The kids he was in a cabin with sounded like fun.

He was in bed by 1pm

He slept until 5pm

He is in bed again now.

George (that's his paw in the photo above) has spent the last few days sulking and looking for Small Man.
He was as happy as a pig in shite this afternoon :)
He is asleep on Small Man's bed now......

In the mean time Big A has packed up his gear and headed down the coast fishing for ten days.

He has taken my laptop - I reckon I can survive without it - somehow!

I am used to him going away fishing at this time of year.

I have always been quite independent.

After years of shift work it works out that way I guess.

My father taught me from a young age how to chop wood, start lawn mowers/mow lawns, drive boats, light fires......you name it.
Not that I'm planning on driving any boats in the next ten days mind you!!

I will however be cooking and cleaning for the next two days in preparation for Monday and our fund raiser.

Oh and lets not forget washing......I have done two full loads of SM's wet gear, and have another two to go........at least.......

I hope everyone has a good weekend,

G

Yay, sounds like he had a wonderful time :)
And now you get to chop wet washing, repair broken boats and drive lawn mowers across swollen rivers while Big A is away....but the cat is happy lol ;)

So glad he had a good time and things went well! Sounded like a good 'break' for everyone, and something new for him.
