A few things I didn't need, and one or two that I did

I definitely DIDN'T need the ad in the paper this week - the phone only rang twice Saturday when I was all well and able to answer the phone......
Yesterday and today it's rung about 30 - 40 times.
The annoying part is that one of the numbers rings continually two or three times - and doesn't leave a message - then rings back an hour or so later - and does it all again - it's not hard.

Maybe people don't like talking to answering machines - harden the .... up people - if you REALLY want a job - leave a bloody message.
I have passed the callers number(s) over to PB - he has returned the call(s) and dealt with it.
I'm not up to talking at the moment I'm half off me rocker on codeine, my jaw is so sore at times it feels like I've broken it - weirdest virus I've ever come across.

The second thing I didn't need.
O.K.
Sunday night Big A had to work back - so worked 18 hours - they wouldn't let him drive home (it's around 60km) so sent him home in a taxi ($140!!) - that was fine I agreed with that I didn't want him driving and it was 1am - and I was coming down with this virus - not good driving material.
Anyhoo he decided to leave his car at work - they work 24 hours a day and the car is in well lit car park with a security guard in an office on the gate.

Sounds o.k. you would think?

Someone decided they
needed to break into his car - via the back window - they removed the seal and tried to jimmy the window out - smashing the glass to bits (but it's still in the window - held in by the tint maybe).
So they didn't get into the car in the end....

Big A's mate drove the car home for him today (they work in the same place, he lives next door)- so that Big A would have it for work tomorrow etc
When he dropped the keys in he asked Big A 'How long has your back window been smashed mate?'
First he knew about it of course - and his mate didn't realise it was damaged while it was parked there....
So on it goes from there - calls to our insurance - calls to work - calls to police.
The police have been around, done the report and so on.

So he's now not working tomorrow so that he can sort this out.
He's mighty pissed I can tell you.
It's going to cost us $350 (the excess on our insurance).
Which isn't really the point - it's the inconvenience.
So he's probably going to need to take my car to work Thursday - I didn't need that either.

BUT the man will be home tomorrow - and he's been really helpful today doing my errands and picking up groceries, then cooking tea.
He did get me to cut his hair this morning though - could've done without that I wasn't feeling too patient.

Sleep - I have had lots today - I really did need that - I have done a little, slept a lot, done a little bit more.
Still feeling very average but you get that.
'Strong pain' pills - definitely needed them - I got the Amcal version of nurofen plus (because I got the pushy chemist lady that was winding up to give me the big spiel on getting them and I didn't want to listen so just said 'yeah whateva' cos I SO needed to get home at that point).

Small Man has shown me how to do the hearts - but on the desktop which mad game playing husbands are currently hogging using for bangity bang bang games serious biz.
So I can't show you - cos I don't know how to do it on the laptop...yet :)

Poor baby.

Keep resting, I recommend it highly, the world will keep spinning along without you for a few days :)

I'm the same G.

We were getting abusive calls from a caller ID that said "private caller," so I am very hesitant to answer Private Caller calls. But they won't leave a message which gets me a bit grumpy.

How are you feeling now?

I hope you start to better, soon, G.

I have often thought that employers need to provide some alternative sleeping accomodation for their workers. We've had situations where Beloved has worked well beyond the norm, and whilst he was able to manage the work ok, the travel home was the riskiest part. The adrenaline runs out and people relax & become less careful the closer that they get to home.

I'd rather him arrive home arrive a bit later than not at all.....

;0)

Michelle ~ Thank you - I'm trying to, sooo hard when you work for yourself though :) xx

Widdle Shamrock ~ Bugger - I hate that - thankfully this is just someone enquiring about a job - they were quite shitty when PB called them back for me 'I have tried to ring MANY times and no answer'. PB explained and they came down a few pegs.....I'm still struggling but much better than Monday/Tuesday ~ Thank you xx

Lou ~ Thank you my dear friend, I have missed you so much! xx

Cyndy ~ Yes, I agree. This was a once off incident that has sparked much debate at work I am told, reachy the upper upper management...hmmm! xx

Natalie ~ Next step is to get him to teach me how to do them on my laptop then it will be a heart frenzy around here :) xx
