Small Man has gone to camp.
Til Friday!
The next few days are going to feel quite different - he has been at home pretty much 24/7 for the last 3 years - actually it's almost 3 years to the day that he first came down with glandular fever......and hasn't recovered.
It took me nearly 12 months to adjust to him being at home.
It was just so different.
It has been such a long journey for both of us.
I have spent most of my time defending him, and trying to get answers or a solution to this.
Looking at the photo of him above - he was feeling crappy when he took this - he doesn't have to tell me I can tell from looking at it.
He has only been away for a night or two since in the last few years - and this is his first ever school camp!
Very exciting!
It will be great for him to escape his routine for a few days - he will pay for it on the weekend and I'm prepared for that (I offered to put his sandwiches in the blender and feed it to him through a funnel over the weekend - he cracked up !!) - but we have learnt that the fatigue will still be there so he may as well have some fun when he can.
After I met his teacher in town and saw him off I went to the op shop for a squizz - I haven't been in a while.
I found FOUR pairs of pyjama pants - very cute - in my size (XXXXXXXXL - ha ha ha!).
3 pair are Peter Alexander - 1 pair is Country Road - (Ooooh la-dee-dah I'll be posh in them eh!!) - I even found a matching Peter Alexander singlet top to make one set.
Usually I wear Big A's chesty bond singlets he gets from work - they are a big size so they're good and long.
There is much to do here in preparation for the fundraiser Monday. MUCH to do......heaps actually......it shall be done though.
Feeling a little bit better today - back to the specialist next Tuesday - so we'll see.
Z17 goes for his licence again next Tuesday too........he has been driving a lot in the last few weeks - especially into and through the city - in heavy traffic - and I'm confident he's ready this time (the only thing he'll probably forget is to get a parking ticket...and it may take a few fines to jog his memory).
I better go and feed the men,

p.s. No, that's not a real tattoo on the back of his hand - although he wishes it was - he has photo shopped it into almost every photo of himself ~ *boys!!!*

Hey, big adventure for small man. I hope the fatigue doesn't wipe him out too much and he enjoys himself.
Anja ~ It sure is :) Thank you - his chronic fatigue has a definite pattern - so at least we'll know what to expect...

I was about to comment and say how much I liked the design on the back of Small Man's hand. Very Celtic looking.
