I just had a reply from the president of the ADD support group here,
she recently had her 'review' as well.......and was told the same thing as me.
She is also panicking because her prescription repeats run out at about the same time as mine.....
Safety in numbers?
She offered to meet with me this week to put our heads together and see what we can come up with.....
Interesting........so now there are two of us.....how many more I wonder?

Bring this to the attention of the likes of the Today Tonight, A Current Affair, the media ANYWHERE cos once the hairy eyeball of the public is watching medical professionals have to be seen to be doing their duty and following correct protocol.
Contact the AMA, should be a local/state branch in Tassie.
Apply for your files through FoI so you have copies of the doctor's notes to use as ammunition if he has failed in his duty of care (that's a phrase you need to throw around a fair bit, it scares the bejebus out of them).
Vonnie is another Taswegian blogger who wasn't diagnosed for years with her Ehlers Danlos Syndrome but was fobbed off as "putting it on".
Also try to get a second/third opinion privately and/or completely divorced from the place you've been assessed as this will truly be independent and will show that there is a problem with the dr's assessment methods/lack of duty of care.
Jayne ~ I would....but it's the anonymity side of things....most people don't even know I take the medication. I feel a bit funny talking about it to people in my 'real' life.
I will definitely be putting in a complaint though, I have the form downloaded and ready :)
The lady I am meeting tomorrow wanted to do the same thing, so two complaints should carry more weight than one...I hope.
I am even angrier with that idiot, especially having read my original diagnosis today.
Severe.
I didn't realise that's where he'd put me.
And he was very good, I learnt so much from him about ADD.
He changed the lives of so many people, many of them in the 'too hard' basket (prisoners etc).
