Have you ever...

Rung up/emailed/sms'd/chased up people that haven't RSVP'd to an invitation?

I haven't had a reply from over half of the people we have invited to Z17's party - and the RSVP date is tomorrow..................

Never had this happen before....ever!

No idea what to do.

Will be back to post an update on 'things' later,
it's been a really long week......

Love to you,

Sorry to hear you haven't been having such a great time lately. Let the RSVP come and go then the day after follow up if you still have to - it's not so unusual in today's busy times so really try not to take it personally. Re: the job-front, please know that change is often tough on all levels and would only be occurring in such extreme measures if extreme changes were required. You seem to be a generally flexible person so, again, take it on the chin and show your strengths by working with what's on offer. Your current circumstances may mean that you are seemingly in the background at the moment but your support will be noticed and can make difference to many people's lives.

i've never thrown a party where i've sent out rsvp thingies so.........i have no idea.

i would imagine if i didn't have a reply a week for the party i'd call these people cause i'd still have a week to plan and get things done when i knew how many were showing up. ???

sorry, wish i were more help.

Evil Twins Wife ~ I think you are right :) Thank you...

Warriorwitch ~ That's o.k. :) I need definite numbers for the restaurant we are going to (today!!) and we are waiting on about 15 people to get back to us...

Good advice from Wendy...sorry this is not moving in the direction needed....I have to confess that I have found that many people simply do not take RSVP seriously...I have often had to find time to follow up just to know where I stood!

Michelle ~ Yes...I can't just put it all down to 17/18 year old boys because two of my friends haven't replied either.

Linda ~ Thank you. I will chase a few up tomorrow. I wasn't really prepared for this, usually we get replies :)

We had this trouble for my daughter's teen parties so we got tough and put on the invites something like "RSVP strictly by (this date) or your place is taken by a better looking movie starlet" - caught their attention and stuck in their mind. Didn't always work 100% but it made some repeat offenders pick up their game.

You might have to use modern technology... seems the only way that people respond to each other these days! x

I hope your party went well. Me? I wouldn't miss a chance to party with you if my life depended on it.

We wait till the next day after the RSVP was due then start ringing people. pain in the butt I know.

Jayne ~ Great idea :)

Nollyposh ~ We did a bit of that in the end.... :)

Lou ~ Oh you're gorgeous...! You can come and party with me anytime :)

Mistress B ~ I had to in the end, the numbers weren't enough for the room we booked...
