A mate of ours works at a vegetable processing factory here in Tas. He was telling us that all broccoli is to be imported from China rather than buying locally, and......get this......they use HUMAN FAECES as fertilizer in China.
If I ever needed an incentive to grow my own....that'll do it.

WTF!!! I am NEVER buying Broccoli AGAIN!! What an outrage, buying from overseas when we have more than enought here!! Bloody Stupid.... I have to put that on my blog as well. It needs to be known!!!
I know, I was horrified! Worth looking at the supermarket to see where it's come from, they usually say if it's been imported. Or buying from local fruit and veg shop!
