Terrifying!

I ambled out to the recycling bin this morning in the same haze that's been a fixture in my brain for the last few days.
I am almost there, destination in sight...
I look down and it takes a few further steps to register - SNAKE....

So there was some hooting and hollering at our house this morning,
woman and blue heeler bustling through the door to safety (the blue heeler just wanted to come in and eat the cat biscuits).

Big A wandered out for a look, caught a quick glimpse......and my slithery serpentish (is that a word?? it is now!) friend hasn't been seen again.

Bugger!

Trip to the doc over and done with.

I had a dilemma this afternoon though.

Small Man has been 'feeling more crap than usual' the last few days - I checked his throat - no better than mine only he has red spots at the back of his throat.

So what do I do?
Take him with me and hope the doc has time to look at his throat too?
Make another appointment for him?
Let him have my appointment and make another for me?

I decided I'd go - gotta fix the captain first or the ship won't function at all (in other words if I didn't get myself fixed I may not be able to get him to the doc).

I asked when I arrived if they could get Small Man in tomorrow - "Oooh noooo - we're fully booked for the rest of the week"......

Doc was running 40 minutes late.

I waited out in the car for 20 minutes - no point sitting out in the germ pool waiting room for any longer than necessary.

By the time I got in I was running a fever, tonsilitis (well we knew that), glands up etc etc.

He wants to see Small Man tomorrow.

He said to ring in the morning and if they get all 'fully booked...ooohh noooo' tell them he said he must see him tomorrow.
As he said, Small Man has been through quite enough without letting whatever he has get any worse.

He's a good guy.

Next time I get the gout happening I'm to go get some tests done.

We're giving the diet another month, then he'll look at changing my pill again.

I have my antibiotics and hope to be 100% by the end of the week!

I can get a lot done in ten minutes.....

Except snakes....

I hope you feel better soon, you don't need sick.

I don't have a fear of snakes, I'm Chinese year of the snake - does that explain it.

Now spiders scare the freaking crap outta me.

Thank you,
me too I'm very very over this now.

It may explain it?

Rats and Snakes - I don't do either - I'm waaay worse with rats though - even dead ones....even ones on tv......ah yep, a true phobia it seems!

Spiders, not so bad, I can sort of catch and dispose of em without too much panic...

Thanks so much Jayne!
We are in a semi rural area, so I should expect them, but I've only seen two in the yard in the ten years we've been here....
