Breaking my own record of two posts in one morning....cos I can!
Our appointment went well yesterday, Small Man was quite upbeat - the doc noticed and was pleased.
He had a young student doctor of Asian ethnicity with him.
He was listening, trying not to look bored, smiling at appropriate moments.
Small Man must have had his intuition switched on.
He mentioned World Of Warcraft - WELL - didn't our young student suddenly straighten up - all ears!!
He said "Did you say World Of Warcraft"
Small Man "Yeah"
The next ten minutes while the Paed wrote out requests and letters and looked things up for me Small Man and Med student were jibber jabber jibber jabber WOW this and WOW that and so on.
Doc looks at me and asks "Do you have any idea what they are on about"
Me "Nah...I was just thinking about what I need at the supermarket".
So it was one of our better doctors appointments.
Small Man has grown 1cm since we were there last.
Doc has organised blood tests and given me a letter for the physio dept so that we can get back to having a weekly visit (weekly is enough for both of us with distance ed and my increased workload).
An update on the computer hacker.
I emailed the principal with my thoughts (I was most polite) and opinion, and a little extra info on Z17....actually a lot of info.
It was good to get it off my chest.
I told him how worried I have been about Z17 this year.
I also gave him Z17's side of the story - apparently Z17 couldn't get a word in at the

Yesterday at college Z17 read the letter that the creator of the website/author of some of the Wikipedia's parents received - bloody hell obviously they're on the parents and friend committee or something.
It was all "he was very apologetic...blah blah...but we still have to follow up on this...nice nice"
I was pissed.
This kid made the website, posted all of the pictures and god knows what else....
I get some big long rant about legal action!!!
Z17 is at home today - he looked shocking when he woke up (but I didn't say anything) - he got up had his cappuccino...and went and laid back down in bed.
When he got up his eyes were sore, and he said his neck hurts.
I think he means the glands in his neck...but I'll keep an eye on him.
This flu has been pretty bad that's going around.

Nice that small Man is making obvious progress. And not nice that Z17 has got himself in a predicament. but then, kids will be kids, yada, yada, yada. I know that doesn't help you, but perhaps he's learned a lesson about consequences that will serve him well (and you) going forward. Let's hope, shall we?

I don't completely understand the situation, I'm slow like that. Did you mean that some kid hacked a computer and Z17 got blamed for it, got interrogated by the principle without your presence, and got chucked out of school. They found the kid responsible and now they're off Z-17's back.
Or did I get it all screwed up?
And you have my sympathies for the headache and no, screaming never did anyone any good.
warriorwoman - no some kid made a website about the principal - Z17 gave the kid a photo to contribute to the website - and they have both received the same punishment (threatened with suspension). The kid made the website cos he was shitty with the school for suspending him once before (for doing totally the wrong thing, accessing other kids computers and shutting them down). So this kids been in a tonn of trouble - was the mastermind behind the website - and yet anyone regardless of their involvement has received the same punishment. I agree they should be disciplined - but to the extent of their involvement.
They're still not off his back. He is now on a 'contract'.
Prinicipal hasn't gotten back to me yet....

The principle is in over his head in this job.
What goes around, comes around. And if the person dies before it gets back around to him then Karma comes into effect and he pays for it in the next life. Good luck to the principal.
If you will, make a circle, of salt or conjure one up inside your mind. It's as you wish. In the circle imagine Z17 and then the principal outside the circle and unable to reach Z17.

I think the principals pride has been hurt by this more than anything ('butt hurt' was Z17's description).
It is rare for Z17 to arc up or get defensive, so I know he feels that this has been taken too far - especially with the threats of legal action.
They were also accused of physically threatening one of the IT staff - why? Because they were waiting outside his office and he was late - one of the boys said "We should hide behind the door and jump out when he comes" - just typical teenage boy silly stuff - and that was considered a physical threat!
I don't scare too easily, and will definitely give this a go! Thank you again,
