A Pair Of Brothers

The week before Small Man was born, the doctor asked 3 and a half year old Z17 what he was hoping for - a baby sister or a baby brother - Z17 replied "A baby bruvva" (brother, we had issues with 'th' words!).

At 11.20pm on 22nd November 1994 he was granted his wish!
A dear little brother weighing only 6lb 9 oz

He has adored him ever since.

Despite their age difference, and the fact that they are different in every way they are very close.

This week Z17 became the proud owner of an iphone - and is now 'on a plan'.
He already had a near new sony ericsson camera phone.
He was offered $200 for it from a guy at school.

He gave it to his brother.

Even though his 'little' brother is now bigger than him, he still adores him.

So sweet.

My two older boys (26 and 24) have alwyas watched over and protected their little (17) brother - who is now as tall as they.

Tania ~ Thank you - I am a proud Mum - my boys have overcome many obstacles to get to here :-)

Anchell ~ Thank you. I'm not sure how it works, it just seems to. :-)

Lisa ~ I like you and your kids too! I think you may be right there, or perhaps that they are so different it works! :-)

Lou ~ It's nice isn't it. When I pick Z17 up from college or work, he asks me every time "How's WOW?" (WOW is his nickname for his brother) - after I've answered him he replies with "Awww...he's WOW". Funny boys! :-)

beautiful boys, G.

and I think you may have misssed your calling: the photos are lovely. Did you fiddle with them, or were they always black & white?

Cyndy ~ Thank you! I scanned these, the colour didn't look right on the bottom two so I changed them to black and white - the first one scanned really well though!

I thought I would visit again. What a wonderful picture--I love it. My oldest daughter has recently become protective of her younger brother (she's 7 and he's 5-he just started school). I hope it continues and they both look after their younger sister when she goes to school. That's not for a while yet, she's not even 2 years old yet.

Hi Joyce-Anne, thanks for stopping by again! I think the little one tends to get protected, especially with some age difference. My boys are now 17 and 13 - I hope they stay 'good mates' when they are adults.

Brothers - they seem all that the word implies.
I hope they always take care of each other - and their mum.

Warriorwoman ~ I don't know where I'd be without them - they are so good to me

Widdle Shamrock ~ Thank you! I do love the one of Z17 holding Small Man for the first time - Small Man is now taller and weighs almost twice as much as his 'big' brother!

xbox4nappyrash ~ Hello there! Thank you for stopping by. I have been checking in on you, just not commenting too much. You will be posting photos like these before long....I just know it!

Dr.Cason ~ I hope so for you too.
My boys have their own bedrooms, yet slept in the same room for a long, long time.
