G, off topic here....about the glandular fever, in hindsight, she has had a recurring gland/throat thing going on for years now! Maybe longer...and she suddenly put on lots of weight about aged 8 or 9...is this ringing bells for you? She is also a picky eater and has existed on junk food for years because she 'doesnt like' things and refuses to eat them.
She has been losing the weight over the past year or so but still...
Hmmmm....
Michelle ~ Ringing many bells for me!
SM is still having positive blood tests for glandular fever, and he first got it 3 years ago - so the tests should tell you.
Ah the picky eating....I am just trying to organise something there for SM - I have no idea if or how they are going to help - it's an almighty job they're getting!
Does she 'not like' the taste, texture, smell or all three?
Also the more I read the more early onset puberty seems also a factor in depression/anxiety/weight gain around this age - it didn't help with SM that's for sure.
I really hope it's not glandular fever Michelle....from what I have read 10% of glandular fever sufferers end up with chronic fatigue. I felt so pressured to send SM back to school ASAP that I gave in (against my better judgement, I knew he wasn't better).
Now I only use MY judgement - screw everyone else!!

I was expecting her to start bleeding 'any minute' now from aged 10...but she only started last year and is only just now growing boobs so I dont know about that bit.
I will ask her re the taste texture thing, I just always assumed she was stubborn. Hmmm
Yes, my gut says just watch her and see re school. I got some vitamin C, zinc and echanacea today to kick start her immune system hopefully....argh
Michelle - I am trialling SM on Glutamine, olive leaf extract and coconut oil (he won't take this on a spoon so I am rubbing into his skin, hopefully it will have the same effect). It seems to lift him a little, his fatigue has been so chronic for so long it's going to take a bit to budge I think - or hopefully he will wake up one day and be all better.
I hope she is feeling better soon,
do what you think is best!
